Youth month oral health awareness

We hosted a youth month oral health awareness program in June 2023. We ran a competition open to the youth, we had a table at the Westville mall where youth could participate in some fun activities, learn about the importance of tooth brushing and keeping teeth clean and healthy. Those who visited our table also received free toothbrushes and toothpastes sponsored by Colgate, Sensodyne and Meridol. Our winner won a dental hamper and a free dental check up, polish and fluoride treatment. Much fun and learning was had by all. “

Cupcakes for kids with cancer drive 2019

The most fun was had on these 1.5 days and the success of this drive surpassed our initial planning and expectations. 9 bakers worked through the night and donated a total of 1118 cupcakes. We managed to raise an unbelievable R14000 which was donated to the Cupcakes 4 kids with Cancer Association. We were sold out on the first day and our selfless bakers stayed up all night to make sure we had fresh cupcakes for the next day.  Not only did we sell cupcakes but we made the community aware of oral cancers and the importance of dental check-ups, not only detecting and treating problems with teeth but also for detecting other conditions in the mouth early such as oral cancer.
